3 The assassination of Senator Robert F. Kennedy had a strong i 0
impact on the people of British Honduras and resulted in Dessages
NS; of sympathy, a special requiem high ma8s and newspaper editorials .
The Consulate received letters of condolence from the Premier, the
leader of the Opposition, the Stann Creek Town Board, the Guate-
malan Consul and several individuals. In addition, a number oE
prominent citizens expressed regret over the telephone or in
person. Copies of the written expressions of condolence, all of
which have been answered, are encloged _
A requiem high ma83 at Holy Redeemer Cathedral on June 10 was
attended by the Governor , the Premier, mmbers of the cabinet, 5
other high government officials, businessmen, resident Arweicans,
others. Two Bishops , the Mogt Rev , Robert Hodapp of Be lize
and The Mst Rev , S E Carter of Jamaica celebrated the mass,
assisted by eight priests. The Very Rev . Leo Weber, Pregident
of St, John S College, preached the sermon,

Belize_Times, besides expressing regret, siid that the cure
