John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, and their campaign staff were at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles on June 4-6, 1968.

A shooting occurred at approximately 12:15 a.m. on June 5, 1968, when Senator Robert F. Kennedy was shot by an unknown individual while exiting the Embassy Room at the Ambassador Hotel.

Miss Carol Ann Breshears, a volunteer campaign worker for the KENNEDY Group, witnessed the shooting and reported that she saw Senator Kennedy fall to the floor after hearing two shots followed by eight more shots.

Enrique Krabago and Humphrey Cordero, who were at the Ambassador Hotel on June 4, 1968, reported that they had a conversation with an individual later identified as Sirhan Sirhan, who was standing on the porch sipping from a drink. Sirhan told them he thought Kennedy would win, but didn't know why.

Sirhan also mentioned to Krabago and Cordero that Kennedy was going to buy something for him, but didn't specify what. This conversation took place approximately 5 minutes before the shooting occurred.

Rabago and Cordero left the hotel around 10:15-10:30 p.m. on June 4, 1968, after watching the election results at the campaign headquarters. They heard about the shooting on their radio later that evening.

On June 6, 1968, Rabago and Cordero returned to the Los Angeles Office of the FBI and were interviewed by Special Agents Paul Chamberlain, Jr., and Thomas J. Bevans.

Sirhan Sirhan was identified as the shooter through a combination of eyewitness accounts, physical evidence, and investigative work.

Humphrey Otto Cordero and Enrique Rabago were interviewed by SA Paul Chamberlain, Jr. on June 6, 1968, at the Los Angeles Office of the FBI.

Cordero stated that he was born in New York City, New York, on April 1, 1934, and had attended three years of high school at Dewitt Clinton High School. He advised that he traveled with his friend, Enrique Rabago, to the Ambassador Hotel on the evening of June 4, 1968.

Cordero stated that they arrived at the hotel at approximately 9:00-9:30 p.m. and entered the front entrance to the Kennedy campaign headquarters. He advised that he became separated from Rabago due to the large number of people in the crowd and looked for him for about five minutes, but was unable to find him.

Cordero stated that he walked to the porch area at the front entrance where he saw Rabago speaking to another individual who was sipping a drink. He advised that he walked up to Rabago and asked him where he had been, and Rabago told him that he had been separated from him due to his casual clothing.

Cordero stated that he told Rabago to come with him and they would go back into the lobby, but Rabago became separated by the crowd. He advised that he took Rabago in the same manner that they were dressed, as if they were millionaires.

The individual Cordero spoke to asked why they shouldn't go in there, we're putting them in office. Cordero stated that he replied, "We are not going to be treated like this." The individual then said, "It's not how you look, it's what you got."

Cordero advised that his conversation with this man lasted only a few minutes and ended when Rabago returned into the lobby of the Ambassador Hotel. He stated that he followed Rabago and they stayed at the hotel until approximately 10:15-10:30 p.m., at which time they left for their homes in Rabago's panel truck.

Cordero stated that the first he had heard of the attack upon Senator Kennedy was later that evening on the radio. He advised that the following day, Rabago met him and told him that he believed the individual they had talked to on the previous evening was the man accused of shooting Senator Kennedy.

Cordero stated that they waited until the late edition of the Herald Examiner came out, at which time they saw the photograph of the individual accused of shooting Senator Kennedy. He advised that he positively recognized him as being the man they had spoken to on the previous evening at the Ambassador Hotel.

Cordero stated that immediately after viewing this paper, Rabago and he drove to the Los Angeles Office of the FBI, where they were interviewed by Special Agent Paul Chamberlain, Jr.

Cordero advised that on June 6, 1968, Special Agent Chamberlain showed him photographs of six male celebrities, and from these photographs, he positively identified one man as being the individual he had seen at the Ambassador Hotel on the night Senator Kennedy was shot.

Cordero stated that to the best of his memory, he would describe this individual as follows: Male Caucasian, 5'11" tall, very slight build, about 125 pounds, dark complexion, dark hair, early 20s, appeared to be Latin, and intelligent.

Humphrey Otto Cordero's statement was read back to him, and he advised that it was true and correct to the best of his knowledge.

Cordero furnished an additional impression that the individual he identified as being at the Ambassador Hotel on the evening of June 4, 1968, was alone. He stated that this was based only on an impression received through conversation with this individual.

On June 8, 1968, Humphrey Otto Cordero was exhibited a series of six photographs of male individuals by SA Paul Chamberlain, Jr. From those photographs, Cordero picked the photograph of Sirhan Bishara Sirhan as being identical with the individual with whom he had conversation at the Ambassador Hotel on the evening of June 4, 1968.

On June 8, 1968, at Los Angeles, California, the following investigation was conducted:

Alice Hay, Clerk, Retail Merchants Credit Association, advised that she was unable to locate any record for Humphrey Otto Cordero and Enrique Rabago.

Michael Lindsey, Clerk, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office, advised that he was unable to locate a record for Enrique Rabago.

Lindsay Mundai, Court warrant number F 091273 was issued at Oceanside, California on May 1, 1967 for Humphrey O. Cordero, 555 Wall Street, Los Angeles, California, charging a violation of Section 32122 in the Vehicle Code.

Records of the Los Angeles Police Department reflected that Enrique Rabago, Los Angeles Police Department number 34555G R, residence 6652 Nami Street, Buena Park, California, described as a male Mexican, born September 5, 1926 in Texas. No disposition to the arrest was shown.

Records at the Los Angeles Police Department reflected that Humphrey Oto Cordero, Los Angeles Police department number 1987198713 C, FBI number 82825 has a criminal record dating back and including arrests for possession of narcotics and as a date of death by the in 1985 including arrests on May 10, 1968 by the Los Angeles Police Departement was a charge of a Vehicle Code violation.

Prior residences were shown as 725 South- Wall, Los Angels, California and 7021 Pacific Boulevard, Hunt- Ingleton Park, Califomnia. His most recent occupation was shown as machinist for PCM Corporation and former employments include a machinists at North American and walter for the Statler Hotel.

Cordero's alises included Humphrey Otto Cordero, Humphrey Gardero Hernandez, Humphreys Cordero and Humphrey R. Cordero. His Social Security Number is shown as

Sandra Serrano, a worker in the Youth for Kennedy campaign, advised she was at the Ambassador Hotel on June 4, 1968, when Senator KENNEDY was shot. She claimed to have seen two people, a man and a woman, run down the stairway where she had been sitting.

Irene Chavez, also a worker in the Youth for Kennedy campaign, advised that about five minutes after the shooting of Senator KENNEDY, met Serrano in a hallway outside the ballroom. She asked Serrano if she was crying and near hysteria and told her about seeing two people, a man and a woman, run down the stairway where she had been sitting.

An All Points Bulletin (APB) was issued by the Los Angeles Police Department on June 5, 1968, describing the unidentified female wearing a white polka dot dress. The APB described the suspect as SIRHAN BISHARA SIRHANA, a male of Jordanian descent, who shot Senator KENNEDY.

Cathy Sue Fulmer, age 19, advised that she had gone to the Kennedy primary celebration at the Ambassador Hotel with a boy friend and they were able to "gate crash" the reception held in the Embassy Room of the Ambassador Hotel. She claimed to have seen Sirhan Sirhan and recognized him from newspaper photographs.

Several women classified by the Los Angeles Police Department as "psychos" came forward claiming they were the unidentified woman in the white polka dot dress, but their names were not taken.

Miss Serrano was taken to the NBC Studios, Burbank, California, and all film coverage taken by NBC at the KENNEDY primary celebration was reviewed by Miss Serrano. She was unable to locate anyone in this film she sent to the invisible woman or the men she had seen on the stairway.

Detective C. J. HUGHES stated that he was aware of the kitchen location of the Embassy Ballroom where KENNEDY was shot, it was his opinion that it would have been impossible for SERRANO to hear .22 shots on her location on a stairway described by her.
