Sheriff's personnel and equipment in the reserve pool at the IBM Building amounted to sixty-four deputies, four sergeants and radio cars. 3:30 a.mn. Upon returning to the hotel, Rolon was assigned to clear the fifth floor of all unauthorized persons. While posting officers in and near the Kennedy suite, Rolon's efforts were harpered by a crowd of young adults, many of whom were intoxi- cated. Some members of the crowd insisted on remaining there stating they were part of the Kennedy delegation. Others in the group attempted to order the officers away from their posts.
