Robert P. KENNEDY - Murder of - Assistance to F.B.I.

John AHNDRY, classmate to Compton Junior College, approached Carlton Laverne Hayes to assist in meeting him at the Ambassador Hotel on Sunday, May 12, 1968, but instead attended an impromptu afternoon club meeting. Hayes stated he did not return to the Ambassador Hotel until June 6, 1958, intending to apply for a job but decided it was too far away.

Winfred Holder, Desk Clerk at the Hope Hotel, advised that he was in the Cordova Bar on June 9, 1968, and ran into John Wright. Holder stated that Wright had been working at the Ambassador Hotel in the kitchen as a "kitchen reporter" for two or three months up to the time of Senator Kennedy's shooting.

R.L. Tardiff, Resident Manager of the YMCA, advised that he could find only one record of a man named John or David Wright staying at the YMA in the last year. The Registration Card contained the following information: Name JOHN WRIGHT, Date of Birth March 11, 1932.

R.L. Nickens, Manager of the Milner Highland Hotel, advised that John Wright stayed at this hotel until June 10, 1968. Nickens described Wright as follows: Race Negro, Sex Male, Height 5 feet 7 inches - 5 feet 10 inches, Weight 30 pounds.

Fonal R. Huntley, interviewer at the Employment Center, stated that he was working at a volunteer primary campaign in Oregon when Senator Kennedy appeared at the airport. Huntley described two men who stepped back into the kitchen after Senator Kennedy's party had passed through.

LORENA KURTZ, 4170 Monroe Street, telephonically advised the FBI Headquarters on June 7, 1968, that she believed her friend conspired with Sirhan to kill Senator Kennedy. Kurtz stated she was very distressed over the death of Senator Kennedy and has been under a doctor's care for treatment of nervous spasms.

George B. Marwick, a vagabond trailer park resident in California, reported acquaintanceship with Leonard L. Edwards and his wife Viola Fay, who lived in the same trailer park. Edwards was described as semi-retired, a painter by trade, and his wife sold real estate.
