Khaibar Khan's half-sister Maryam Kooshan, his son Amir Hossain Khan, daughter Shirin Khani, and another son J.Kian were brought into his presence for questioning. Photos of Sirhan and his brothers Aadel, Minir, and Sharif were shown to them, but none of the individuals identified Sirhan.

Khaibar Khan stated that he had furnished a list of names of individuals who would be available as volunteer workers in the November campaign, including his divorced wife Talat Khan and her children. However, none of these individuals had done any work at the Kennedy Campaign Headquarters during the June Primary Election.

Mrs. Ellenore Severson reported noticing one of the volunteer workers who showed up at the headquarters on June 2, 1968, and furnished workers appeared to be of Middle Eastern descent.

Khaibar Khan was interviewed by two detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) on June 27, 1968, as a potential witness in the shooting of Senator Kennedy. He stated that he had worked as a volunteer worker at the Kennedy Campaign Headquarters and thought he had seen Sirhan at these headquarters on June 4, 1968.

Khaibar Khan declined to take a lie detector test and go to the Los Angeles County Jail to personally observe Sirhan, stating that he wished to consult with his attorney before taking such action.

The LAPD wanted Khaibar Khan to take a lie detector test and also wanted to arrange for him to personally observe Sirhan at the Los Angeles County Jail in order to confirm that he had seen him.

Khaibar Khan stated that if anything ever developed from the information he furnished, he would not be willing to testify in a court of law with respect to Sirhan without personally observing Sirhan.

With respect to the unknown girl in the Volkswagen, Khaibar Khan would also have to see any girl thought to be the same person before he could make any more positive identification.

Khaibar Khan was arrested by the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) on June 27, 1968, and was being held for deportation proceedings. He stated that he had been interviewed by two detectives from the LAPD on June 27, 1968.
