John F. Kennedy assassination records:

* Thomas W. Jeraden, a Los Angeles resident, advised he could not furnish any information concerning Sirhan B. Sirhan and had no personal knowledge pertinent to the assassination.
* He stated Bill Berry told him after Senator Kennedy's speech on June 8 that "Let's go this way," causing him to be behind the senator as Berry had planned on going to the ballroom to meet supporters after the speech.
* Berry also said he kicked Sirhan off a platform three times while the senator was behind the microphone.
* Jeraden heard a rumor from an unreliable source that Mr. Uno, phonetic, banquet manager at the Ambassador Hotel, was the person who suggested the senator proceed 100% in direction of the Colonial Room.

Interview with Jerry Owen:

* On June 3, last, Owen was driving on Hill Street and stopped at a stop light prior to turning onto Wilshire Boulevard.
* Two young men approached his truck, and the taller one asked if he was going out on Wilshire Boulevard and when he indicated he was, this individual asked if they could ride in back of the pickup.
* Owen described these individuals as follows: Number One: age early twenties, five foot eight to five ten, slender build, Latin hair slightly bushy, dark complexion, appearing to be of Black American origin, wearing sandals, dark complexion, two-tone Mexican-type jacket possibly a vest, and a medallion.
* Number Two: age early twenties, about five three, slender build, dark bushy hair, dark complexion with Latin American appearance, dressed in dark-colored Kaki, Levi-type pants, dark gray sweatshirt, and tennis shoes.

Interview with Jerry Owen (continued):

* On June 4, last, at eight A.M., Number Two came to Owen's truck and asked if he was the man with a telephone call in his room at the hotel asking him if he was the main with the pickup and the horse. Owen acknowledged he was and said they would meet at the truck.
* As Owen was going to the truck, he saw the same car as before parked at the curb, and Number One and the girl whom he saw before were sitting in the car. The man who had been at the bus stop was standing at the truck, and as Owen approached, he said, "Joe couldn't make it." He offered Owen a one-hundred-dollar bill and asked if they could bring the horse to the same location that night at which time he would have the money available.
* Owen advised him not to do this because of prior commitments. Owen gave the man his business card with his home address and unlisted phone number and requested Joe call him if he was interested in the horse.

Interview with Jerry Owen (continued):

* On June 5, last, Owen went to the Coliseum Hotel to see a man named Bert who owns the restaurant and bar in the hotel. While there, he passed a television set where information was being given concerning the Kennedy assassination.
* During the course of this, a picture of the alleged assassin was shown, and he immediately noticed that it looked like the man Joe picked up in his truck on June 3, last. He also noted that the man Joe picked up in this truck resembled Sirhan B. Sirhan, which contained a picture of Sirhan B. Sirhan.
* Owen mentioned this to Bert, who suggested he go to the University Station, Los Angeles Police Department, and tell them what had occurred. He did this and furnished the Los Angeles Police Department with the same information as above.

Threats against Jerry Owen:

* On June 6, last, his wife and daughter both answered telephone calls received at his residence in Santa Ana, and on each occasion, the person calling hung up without saying anything.
* When the phone rang the third time, he answered, and the caller said, "Keep your mother blankety blanky mouth shut about the horse deal." He believes the caller was a man but his voice was not familiar.
* On June 22, last, he received a second call at his residence with the caller saying, "Keep your mother blackety banky blankey mouth shut or your family may be hurt."

Jerry Owen's whereabouts:

* He came to the San Francisco area on June 27, last, and in accordance with prior arrangements made with representatives of the Los Angeles Police Department was to meet with Lieutenant L.L. Sandlin in Palo Alto, California on June 29, last.
* He saw Hardister in Oakland on June 28, last, and discussed this meeting with him. Hardister did not think it wise to meet Sandlin in view of the threat, inasmuch as he did not know Sandlin and the appointment might be a trap.
* Owen also discussed this with Gardner, an ex-duty sheriff, and George T. Davis, a San Francisco attorney. In line with their advice, he did not meet Sandlin and later determined there was a Sandlin with the Los Angeles Police Department who had changed his mind about meeting Owen in Palo Alto.

Jerry Owen's current whereabouts:

* He is presently staying at the ranch of Hardister and is not certain where he will go from there but said he may go to a church camp near Eskdale, Utah, across the Utah line from Ely, Nevada, with his family.
