Found on the Incoming mail belt was a
piece of
paper not In an envelope written in green Ink which was
addressed to "Pos t Office Post Mas ter Tnls note reads
a8 follows :

124 Broadway Metropole Hotel Roon 117. He
may be under the name Geore Letsinger or
George Anderson _ He knows about Kennedy and
also King death_s _ He may have part In a1so_Kdegt ,
I know he was in Tenn _ before
and after King was killed_ I know Ietsinger

On June 12, 1968, Information was received from the
Seattle DlvIsLon, Federal Bureau of Investigation, that one
GEORGE ROBERT LETSINGER, FBI Nuber 584 742 F, born July 13,
1942, at Macomb, Missourl_ was arres ted at Jacksonville
Florida on April 11,
1988 ,
charged With grand larceny having
stolen
3550
to 860 from a restaurant In Seattle, Washington,
dr which he wab employed .
LETSINGER was returned to Seattle Washington, and
on the bas1s of the charge agaInst hlm, received a three-year
de ferred sentence , 81x monthb In the county ja1l and orderea
to make restItution,
LETINGER appealed this sentence and was placed on
bond, however, departed the State of Washlngton and a bench
warrant was subsequently Ig8ued by the Supefior Court, Seattle,
Washington.

GEORGE ROBERT LETINGER at Roon 117, Metropole Hotel_
124 Broadway , San Dlego, California, on June 12,
At time of arrest_ LETSINGER admitted his identity and
the fact that he khew he was wanted by the State of
Washington.
GEORGE ROBERT LET INGER was interviewed by Agents
of the Federal Bureau of Investigation at San Dlego,
Califorra, on June 13, 1968, at which time he advised as
follows :
LETINGER advised that in 1963 he went to England
and visited the Russian Enbassy , Grovesner Square, London,
England , for the purpoge of renouncing hls united States
citlzens=
He was erres ted while In England by New Scotlend
yerd, babed upon a cheok whlch ha had depos Ited In 8 bank
prior to his departure to England and later determined It
was a fraudulent check,
LET INGER was asked why he desirea to renounce
his citizenship:, to which he replied the country Is no longer
a country for the white people and 18 eventually being taken
I1 over by the niggers
LTSINGER exhibited a strong anti-Negro sentiment
and statea that at one tIme he had been a member of a clan-
type organization at Blg Stone Virginia_
LETSINGER was tioned as to his association With
JAMES EARL RAY and whether he had any knowledge concerning the
assas8inations of Dr MARTIN LUTHER KING , Senator ROBERT E.
KENNEDY and PresIdent JOHN R KENNEDY. LETSINGER merely
replied "I do not WIsh to talk about these subjects
LETINGER did sayo however, that 1f Senator TED
KENEDY and VIce Pres Ldent HUBERT H. HUMPHREY continue to
seek the Pre81dency of the Untted states they will be
