Angeles, California until shortly after breakfast on June 5, 1968 when they left by train for San Francisco to get the President Line Ship, Cleveland, for a trip to Japan. Neither of them were aware that ROBERT P. KENNEDY had been shot until they arrived in San Francisco and had a hard time obtaining a paper. They have absolutely no information concerning the shooting of KENNEOY, they are in possession of no in- formation concerning a possible conspiracy; they do not know SIRIHAN, SIRIHAM, and they did not see KENNECY or SIRIAN at the hotel. Donald Joseph Dowd was interviewed on September 26, 1968, at Boston, Massachusetts. He stated that he flew from Boston to Los Angeles on May 11, 1968, and arrived at approximately 7:30 p.m. He met with Tony Akers, the former Ambassador to New Zealand, who worked with Senator Robert F. Kennedy's brother-in-law.

Dowd noticed an individual in the Coconut Grove on June 2, 1968, whom he recognized but refused to move from the area when requested by Kay Hacken. The individual was described as possibly Greek, Italian, or South American extraction, age 52-53, dark receding hair, stocky build, and height 5'8" or 5'9".

Dowd stated that he did not see this individual prior to June 2, 1968, and had never heard of Sirhan B. Sirhan or his name mentioned during the campaign. At the time of the shooting, Dowd was in the Embassy Room standing immediately in front of the television camera.

John V. Kenny, a Providence College student, was present in the Embassy Room on June 4, 1968, where he heard and observed Senator Robert P. Kennedy deliver an address to his campaign forces. Kenny took several pictures of Senator Kennedy as he spoke on the stage, including a number of individuals in the audience.

Norman Jacques, Rhode Island State Senator, advised that he was present in the Embassy Ballroom on June 4 and 5, 1968, where he observed Senator Kennedy's campaign forces. He stated that he did not observe any individual which he could consider suspicious in the Embassy Ballroom.

Adrian Lieb, a union official, was shot in the corridor by Sirhan B. Sirhan on June 5, 1968. Joseph Scanlan, a Providence College student, was present at the Ambassador Hotel on June 4 and 5, 1968, and took photographs of Senator Kennedy as he departed from the stage onto the area where he was later shot.

Carol Ash, a member of Senator Robert F. Kennedy's campaign staff, advised that she was present at the Ambassador Hotel on June 4 and 5, 1968. The Los Angeles Police Department requested the assistance of the FBI in locating and interviewing individuals who were registered at the Ambassador Hotel during the pertinent period.

The trial date is tentatively set for the first part of November 1968.
