Weshington, D. G advised SA ASHLAND on 7/15/68
NORMAN WEELOCK continues to reside at that address in
her basement rear apartment _ He has been in a drunken
condition previous and night_ She added , he was
not home and probably could be fouind in a bar somewhere .
He beat her up previous night and upset things in her
apartment_ She said he is an alcoholic and mentally 111
but she had been unable to have hin committed The Police
had been called to check on hin during the disturbance
that evening but had not arrested WHEELOCK.

obtained the following information fron NORMAN WHEELOCK :
He Was drinking beer dur the interview. On various

while drinking, he had made statements indicating he was
involved in a to kill SIRHAN SIRHAN He does not know
SIRHAN SIRHAN and has never been offered any money to kill
SIRHAN . Ha said he would saying things like that to
people.

On June 1968, Mrs _ Naoni Gross, 13 Russel St Toorak, Australia,
presently vacationing in London,England) appeared voluntarily at the
American Embassy London, and furnished the following information:
Mrs Gross stated she boarded Qantas flight 530 in Sydney , Australia at
7:00 P, June 5, 1968, in routeto London _ Further , ske 8aid she was
trave ling first class and had sat next to .& nan who said his nane was
Clifford Flitwy, an Anerican industrialist with Amerada Petrolium Co
in Queensland , Australie, (the company is supposealy an Anerican Canadian
venture) who worked Out of the company read office in Brisbane Ees
Gross said Flitty also stated he was soon to become the new Vice-President

ROBERT F . KENNEDY through Oregon and California, having
joined the group In the middle of March 1968_
At the time of the ghooting of Senator KENNEDY
he was In the temporary press headquarterg located in the
Colonial Roon 0f the Ambaggador Hotel in Log AngeleB, California
Senator KENNEDY 8 victory speech wa8 watched by
Mr HERBERS and other members 0f the pre8g corp8 on a
televigion 8et in the Colonial Room . About the tIme
Senator KENNEDY wa8 g1ving his gpeech they were notified
the Senator would come to the pres8 room for a new8
conference for the "wrtting prese II It had been undergtood
during the evening of June 4, 1968, that the Senator would
appear before the pre88, however, the exact tine wa8 not
known until the election trend had been f1rmly established _
Approximately five minute8 before the shoot they were
notifled the Senator woula be there 8hortly .
Mr HERBERS gtated there were probably between six
hundred and a thougand people in the Embag8y Roon where the
victory speech
wab g1ven. Becauge 0f the orowd, KENNEDY

KNNZDY departed the stage area by wa lking to the rear,
through a hallway and into the kitchen K NN IDY Ia? making
his way toward the Colonial Room and planned to talk With

leaving balloong breaking. He was told K NNZDY had been shot .
He hastened to the area and obs erved the Senator lying on the

the rear LEWIS said they followed about ten to twelve
feet behind He firet heard the shots when they reached the

WALINSKY and Mrs _ WALINSKY had a room in the fifth floor
KENNZDY Suite at the Ambaseador Hotel in Loe Angeles, Califor-
nia WALINSKY congratulated Senator 5ANNZDY upon winning
the pr Lmary in California WALINSKY remalned 1n the euite to
watch the television broadcast of K: NN_:DY [ 8 victory speech in
the zmbassy Room - After KZNNZDY completed the speech, HALINSKY
stood in the doorway of the KZNNZDY guite talking a5 CAROL
WELCI told WALINSKY , PI_RR;; just called and something
