She noted that there was quite a bit of discussion
among the emp Loyees concerning the shooting and that they
were all furnishing their beliefs as to the reasons The

knowledge of any menber of the SIRHAN family from Jordan ,
but only came in contact with them for the first time in

of SHARIF SIRHAN and never developed any close friendship

occasion she and her husband overheard Mrs SIRHAN speaking
Arabic to her young son as they proceeded down the super market
lanes
Mrs _ JACOBS stated that although both she and her
husband are native born Americans they are both of Syrian
heritage and are fluent to a limited degree in Arabic She
related that as she and her husband reached the end of the
lane paralleling that of Mxs SIRHAN they introduced themselves
to her and inquired if she might possibly be Syrian _ She
stated tha t after the introductions the woman subsequently
identified as Mrs SIRHAN

Jordanian and had been in the United states for a very short

story had gotten started, but that it was totally untrue
He said that he has only been pastor of this church for the
past two years and prior to that time he had resided in
the State of Idaho However , he stated that he had checked

Church of the Nazarene and found out the following:

Mr YOUNG advised that he 18 a teacher in history at that
high school and that he is also the Commander of the Cadet
Corps He explained that the Cadet Corps at John Muir
High School is similar to a high school ROTC program
except that it is run and financed by the stafe.instead
of the Federal Government He als ) stated that the Cadet
Corps 18 under the direction of the California State
Adjutant General and receives the money for equipment and
uniform8 and supplies through the State National Guard and
Adjutant General S Office He further stated that in this
Cadet Corps , the b2ys receive basic military training in
such field8 8,8 drill; inc luding the Manual of Arms , military
courtesy, first aid, camouflage , map reading and a brief
explanation of firearm Safety.
YOUNG advised that he could remember that SIRHAN B;
SIRHAN had been a member of this Cadet Corps for the three
years that he had attended John Muir High School, and he
remembered him as a better than average cadet with a good
attitude who accepted discipline well and showed potential
and ability in administrative positions He said that
STRHAN was probably a sergeant in the Cadet Corps at the
time of his graduation_ He s tated that he remembered
SIRHAN to be a serious individual but did not consider hin
