respectively , WILLIAMS supplied the following information:
She i9 currently employed as a barmaid at the
Briar Patch Bar , 4373 Fast Live Arcadia, California,
telephone number 445-3050.
On June 4, 1968 she and her husband, RONAID,
decided to go to the San

shooting_ She stated that they left the children at a
babysitter, MARGIE THROM, telephone number 965-1094_

and then
stopped by the Briar Patch Bar in order to obtain directions
to the gun range as neither she nor her husband had ever been
to the range before- After receiving directions , they
proceeded to the general vicinity of the range until they
met a Temple City Deputy Sheriff from whom they asked
additional directions She stated that she thought the
Deputy Sheriff was named RON: LANDER _ She stated that they
arrived at the range at approrimately 3:50 PM_
WILLIAMS further advised that it was her intention
to shoot a 22 caliber revolver which she had: received for
Christmas in 1966, had never fired the gun At this
point, WILLIAMS brought forth the gun which she said that
she had taken to the range on June 4 , 1968 ; and it wa8
personally observed that the gun was a 22 caliber High
Standard Double Nine nine' shot revolver bearing serial
number 1553884 and possessing bone or ivory colored handles .
She stated that her husband had just recently purchased a
rifle from the Gemc0 Store in Ia Puente, California, and' it
was his desire to practice with this gun at the range

WILLIAMS brought forth the rifle which she said her husband
had taken to the range on June 4, 1968, and it was personally
observed to be a 30-30 caliber Marlin, Serial Number AC1ll47,
capable of holding seven rounds of ammunition
WILLIAMS further advised that upon arriving at
the range and being informed by the Range Officer that the
range closed for firing at 5:00 FPM , she and her husband
engaged in a discussion a8 to whether to g0 ahead and fire
on the range after paying the admission fee since were
going to be able to fire for a relatively short time She
stated that she recalled saying some thing to the effect
that she had had the gun for a long time and since they
already were there, she wanted to shoot it today_ She
stated that her husband had told the Range Officer that
she wanted to shoot the pistol and he wanted to go to the
rifle range After the attendant told them that could
not fire both Weapons on the same range , they decided to
proceed to the respective range8 and do some shooting_
WILLIAMS then went to a firing position close to the range
house and as best a8 she can recall, it was around firing
position 22
or 23_ She stated that the Range Officer put
her target in place for her and she started shooting.
WILLIAMS stated when she went to the pistol range ,
there wa3 only one other individual on the range firing at
a position about midway &long the firing range_ As best as
she can recall, this individual was firing around position
9 or 10_ After firing about 18 rounds , WILLIAMS stated she
was having difficulty firing the gun and she called to the
individual firing down the range from her and asked hin if
he knew anything about guns The individual came over to
her and proceeded to give: her instructions regarding the
firing of the gun , how to get a proper sight picture

other basic fundamentals of firing procedure
WILLIAMS described this individual a8 about
5'2" to 5'3" in height, 25 years of age dark curly hair,
small build, bare headed ,
wearing casuai clothes,
and
appearing to be of Spanish or Italian extraction At thi8

point_ WILLIAMS was shown several photographs 9 including
the photograph of SIRHAN SIRHAN

and WILLIAMS stated that
the photograph of STRHAN SIRHAN was definitely the individual
whom she had seen and asked for 88sistance at the range
She stated that after some discussion with SIRHAN
about firing procedure SIRHAN took her gun and fired about
18 or 20 rounds with
it
and then gave her further instructions
on proper firing procedures _ SIRHAN then asked her if she
wanted to fire his gun She stated that he had a small
black or blue colored gun and was firing Mini Magnum shells
WILLIAMS stated that she did not know very much about guns and
could not tell what make , model r caliber the gun was
She stated that she proceeded to shoot about two chambers
of ammunition from STRHAN' s gun but that she did not know
how many rounds the gun ac tually held_ She stated that
there was no one else on the pistol range at this time
other than she and SIRHAN _ She said that SIRHAN was at
her position giving instructions and firing for approximately
20 minutes She stated that while SIRHAN was still at her
position, her husband returned from the rifle range and they
engaged in a short conversation at that point, concerned
mostly about SIRHAN 8 gun
She further advised that they were at the range
for a period of about one hour and, after being told by the
Range Officer that firing had to cease on the range , she
and her husband left for home She stated that she and her
husband had to make some preparationg prior to leaving the
range and she thought SIRHAN had left approximately five
minutes before their departure She stated that she did not
observe any vehicle which SIRHAN may have been driving.
She stated that she had never seen SIRHAN before
that time on the range There was no one else on the pistol
range except she and SIRHAN_ She stated that their conversation
had concerned itself entirely With firearms and that he made
no reference to any future plans _

a photograph of SIRHAN shown on television and she remarked
to her husband that this was the same individual whom they

called the LAPD and reported the incident

she has been employed at the Ambassador Hotel, 3400 Wilghire
Boule vard, Los Angeles, California, a8 head food checker since
October 1959_
Miss ABSTON advised that she came to work at 8:30 a .m,
on
June 4, 1968 and
was at the hotel the remainder of the day.
She &tated that at about midnight she was at the room service
desk located just off the main kitchen of the hotel, when
Senator ROBERT F KENNEDY , his wife and party estimated to be
about six people came through the kitchen area enroute to the
Embassy Room _
She
recalled that Senator KENNEDY was imme diately
preceded through the kitchen by Mr UNO TIMANSON

President and Banquet and Sales Manager of the hotel_
Miss ABSTON recalled that Senator KENNEDY 8 topped and shook
hands with CHARLES STEBERT LEONA CASE and herself Miss
ABSTON advised she

to her office, which is located
at the rear of the room service desk, to work on payroll
records_

when she heard a loud noise which s ounded like a
balloon breaking, followed by five or six additional popping
sounds She stated the noise seemed to come from the direction
of the Embassy Room and a8 she up and started toward the
Embassy Room, she rounded the corner by the ice machines
and observed a man on the floor with a large group of people
clustered around him She stated at that time she did not
know the man on the floor was Senator KENNEDY She immediately
instructed the employees who were in the area to return to the
room servic e area in the kitchen_ She stated within a very few
minutes , the police and ambulance arrived and she did not
observe anything else other than several unknown people
running around the kitchen_

Miss ABSTON viewed a photograph of SIRHAN BISHARA
SIRHAN and stated she had never seen SIRHAN before, during,
or after the shooting and was unable to furnish any additional
information

Bar just off the Coconut Grove which is on the main floor of
the hotel and at approxima 12:25 he was taking a break and

of the confusion and sereams from the Embassy Room when somebody
made the announcement that Mr KENNEDY hed been shot ALDRICH
stated that when he became aware of this situa tion he immediately
closed down his bar and did not g0 near the Embassy Room and
could furnish no information regarding the shooting_
He stated that he had never seen SIRHAN BISHARA SIRHAN
around the hotel

be withdrawn socially and did not impress him as being very
aggressive Further ALFELD advised SIRHAN complied with
the regulations of the California Cadet Corps , however ,
only participated to the extent of fulfilling the course

ALFELD could not recall any of SIRHAN S former
or current companions
9 nor did anything come to his attention
to indicate that the shooting of Senator ROBERT F KENNEDY
would take place
ALFED advised he reported for work at 6:00 PM
on June 4 , 1968 , and finally left the building around
3:00 AM on June 5 , 1968 . ALFELD observed a photograph of
SIRHAN B SIRHAN and s tated that it was the photograph of
the same individual with whom he attended John Muir High
School in the school year 1963 S

At approximately 12:15 a. June 5, 1968, he was
the back of the central dighwashing room emptying the
garbage when he heard a series of reports _ He said the squnds
wete So loud he thought they were rockets going off_ He ran
through the central dishwashing room and through the passageway
to the Embassy Room When he reached the doorway to the
serving room, which 18 just east of the Embassy Room_

Senator KENNEDY Lying on the floor_ He did not see KENNEDY ' s
assailant a,8 the assailant was apparently surrounded by
persons grappling with the assailant
He gtayed viewing the scene for about five minutes
and then his boss told him to return to work, and he returned
to the central dishwashing room He worked through the night
until 6:00 8,m- in the morning and then returned to his
rooming house_ He has never heard of the assailant of Senator
KENNEDY before He did not hear anything at the Ambassador
Hotel that would indicate anyone had knowledge of the
impending assasination

was never an employee of the hotel

On June 12, 1968_ Mrs , BARBARA BROWN , 8920 Orion
Street, Apartment 25, Los California, advised that
she was born in Long Beach, California, on April 9, ighe:
M1 and she has been employed a8 a cocktail waitress in Cave
bar of the Ambassador Hotel , 3400 Wilshire Boulevard ,
Los Angeles , for the past three weeks
Mrs BROWN stated that she was working during the
early morning hours of June 5, 1968, when Senator ROBERT
F KENNEDY was shot in the Ambagsador Hotel Mrs BROWN
stated that she was working the bar at the time of the shooting
and she learned of the shooting when she heard people
running through the hotel that Senator KENNEDY had
been shot _ She stated

she did not see Senator KENNEDY
before or after the shooting.
Mrs BROWN was shown three photographs of SIRHAN
B SIRHAN and she advised that she recognized the photographs
of STRHAN as being the same person she has been photographs
of in the newapapers since the shooting_ She stated that she
observed the police removing some person from the hotel
following the" shooting but she could not see him clearly.
Mrs BROWN advised that to the best of her knowledge , she
has never seen or waited on SIRHAN .

entire evening and never near the Embassy Ballroom BUTLER
advised that at approximately 12:15 AM, June 5, 1968 ,

received a telephone call and the unidentified male voice
stated, "Call the police_ Someone has been shot in the
i) Embassy Room On"receiving this , she called the Los Angeles
Police Department (LAPD) and reported this prior conversation_
BUTLER stated that at approximately the same time , fellow
operator RUBY FORD had received a call from within the
hotel indicating Senator KENNEDY had been shot and requesting
an ambulance FORD comp lied with this request BUTLER
stated that she heard nothing resembling gun fire during
the evening_ A photograph of SIRHAN BISHARA SIRHAN was
displayed to BUTLER and she stated that she had never seen
this individual in or about the hotel_
