Kenmore Avenue, Los Angeles, advised the following
MARIA and DONALD WICKSON had rent ed Apartment 2 at
517 South Kenmore Avenue on May 20, 1968, and left on August 2,
1968. They left a forwarding address of 5933 Gregory Av enue,
Apartment 9, Hollywood, California, 90038, telephone number
466-2338.
Mr _ WICKSON was a waiter at the Ambassador Hotel.
He did not have an automobile. His wife had a smal1
child about three to four years of age and she was pregnant
Mr WICKSON, a male Caucasian in his early 208, had said that
follow the shooting of Senator ROBzRT F_ KZNNEDY at the
Ambassador Hotel June 5, 1968, busines: had fallen off at
the hotel to the ext ent that Mr WICKSON could not make enough
money to support his wife and retain the apartment at Kenmore
Avenue Mr WICKSON and wife, a female Caucasian in her mid
208 , dark hair, Were good tenants_ Mr LIM did not know their
background or where Mr _ WICKSON might be working at the present
time.

husband was reported to have made some statements concerning
the assassination of Senator ROBERT F KENNEDY _
Mrs MC CARTHY stated that she is thoroughly
confused over the whole situation_ She stated she was not
sure of the facts , but she recalled that her husband had
mentioned that he had met a man a car she thought, who
stated that if KENNEDY were to become President_ or even
before that he would be killed. She further

husband seemed very nervous after he heard an announcement
over the radio after the assassination in connection with
a reported diary which had been found It belonged to
SIRHAN SIRHAN and mentioned a particular name which her
husband thought might have some connection with the
conversation he heard_ He said he was surprised to meet
this man , but the man said he had a very important engagement
on the after KENNEDY was killed SO that he could not do
what her husband had asked him to do _
Mrs _ MC CARTHY explained that her husband had
mentioned this information to his employer at J.K,I. Investigations

and his employer had indicated he would contact a lawyer and
tell hin what the circumstartes were and if he thought it was
of importance the

He was advised that he was being contacted in
connection with information regarding the assassination of
Senator ROBERT F KENNEDY which he reportedly had in his
possession.
MC CARTHY explained that he had been working for

as an investigator in June 1968, but he is no employed
there because of a reduction in force_ In connection with a
case to which he was assigned he had to contact CLIFFORD
DANIEL GRESHAM , 1319 East Baldwin

connection with a compensation case GRESHAM had had an
alleged injury and was receiving compensation

seriously injured_ He stated he contacted GRESHAM at his
residence which was for sale , and in the course of their conveesetion,
he asked MC CARTHY if he would be able to help
him in doing some work cleaning up some property GRESHAM
indicated that he could not_ The first contact with GRESHAM

and the subject of Senator KENNEDY came up -
MC CARTHY alleged that GRESHAM stated

probably be shot like his brother , and he added, "You know
because of his_ support of Israel. He wanted to send arms to

Mrs GRESHAM and her husband_ He stated he had met CLIFFORD
DANIEL GRESHAM and he feels that he 18 definitely reliable.

politics with him and neither one has shown any strong feel-

had said that GRESHAM had made derogatory remarks about

Officer BOB GRAY who is an aideto Chier THOMAS REDDIN of

(LAPD) He explained
that GRESHAM 18 a high school friend of his and after he
reported it to GRAY

GRAY said that he would turn the
information over to the LAPD Task Force handling the
assa8sination investigation KUDE further stated that
later an Officer THOMPSON of the LAPD called him and
obtained the information from him.
When KUDE was asked concerning the reliability
of MC CARTHY KUDE stated that he had a high opinion Of

reliability
He stated that his work was satisfactory,
to a certain extent , but he was not experienced, and he had
made some errors of judgment on some occasions He stated
that he had not indicated to MC CARTHY that he would possibly
be terminated prior to the time that Senator KENNEDY was
assassinated He stated he could think 0f no reason
why MC CARTHY would make up a story about alleged statements
by CLIFFORD DANIEL GRESHAM.

SHERMAN stated he and his group were 1 stunned" by the news

being shot in the head but made no attempt to clarify her
mistake or elaborate further.
Mr _ SHERMAN described the waitress as being white
female in her 50 ' s about 5' 6" weighing 140 145 pounds ,
dark hair wore ses and spoke with a slight accent,_
Possibly German He stated his group sat in the South East
corner of the Coffee
Mr 'SHERMAN stated since Senator KENNEDY was shot
in the head on June 5 , 1968_ he thought he should furnish

BEATRICE PIEPKORN waitress , Sherman House Coffee
stated the whole terrible mistake was started in error by one
of the waitresses repeating information furnished to her by
PIEPKORN when the other waitress misunderstood ,
PIEPKORN advised that she was talking to one of her
customers who informed her that there was an article in the
Saturday Chicago newspaper about KENNEDY being at the beach
in California and someone (thought to be one of his children)
was caught _ in an undertow and Senator KENNEDY in an attempt
to save this person was hit on the head by a rock or surfboard
She stated she and the customer were discussing the newspaper
article and she passed it on to one of the other waitresses
claiming she (PIEPKORN) said "Did you hear about Senator
KENNEDY being hit in the head? 11 which, of course, was
totally
wrong
She stated she had no intention of starting any such
ruor She was merely repeating information which appeared

building at 5313 South 73rd Street in Summit, Illinois ,
MILLER advised that the ABDO family were not model tenants ,
but neither did he think that RICHARD ABDO would have had
anything to do with the KENNEDY killing
He stated that he had not made a telephone call to
the Chicago Police Department suggesting a tie-up between
Mr ABDO and the KENNEDY killing-
He stated that various tenants have lived downstairs
from the ABDO family and RICHARD ABDO has had some difficulties
with them _ He therefore suggested that possibly one 0f the
tenants had made the telephone call He did not recall the
names and addresses of tenants but said if necessary he
could make them available to the FBI Office.

by telephone on Sunday , June 2, 1968, about 2:00 p .m_ During
the course 0f conversation, she mentioned ghe had either
heard a rumor or something on the radio, he does not recall

connection with the aesaesination of Senator KENNEDY

previous conversation in which she had mentioned the prediction

SHAW further advised he was told by LINDENBAUM that
JIBIL was working for an unknown physician under a grant ,
during the fall Jf 1967 , at Northwestern University

Room 277 provided the following information:
ABBAS OTHMAN JIBRIL began_working_ in post-doctoral
work at Argonne in approximately July of 1964_ At this time
JIBRIL was assigned to hin for supervision purposes _ As the
time passed

JIBRIL and LINDENBAUM began discussion of var-
ious social nature during which discussions JIBRIL made brief
statements along the lines of being anti-Jewish As time
passed , these statements grew stronger and' were made in front
of other employees

many of which had Jewish backgrounds
LINENBAUM advised these feelings of JIBRIL stemmed from
childhood and the teachings in his native country_ Several of te
other Jewish workers in the laboratory began to complain: to
LINDENBAUM about JIBRIL' s statements _
LINDENBAUM stated one he was able to get JIBRIL
into a lengthy discussion concerning his feelings at which
time JIBRIL "broke down" emoti onally and began making' various
statements

incl one dealing with "keeping track of the
Jews" and mentioning plans to M1 take care of the Jews _ JIBRIL
also of an organization which is "taking care" of the
above-mentioned items _ He did not state the name or location
of this organizationa At no time did he mention anything
about tical leaders or attempted assassination of any
individuals
LINDENBAUM advised he then spoke with Dr. ROBERT
FEINSTEIN Argonne_Laboratory concerning these statements
at which time FEINSTEIN felt the matter should be discussed
with the onne Security Department. This was the only
contact FEINSTEIN had with this situation as he only knew
JIBRIL from having seen him in the building_
LINDENBAUM advised after discus this matter
with the Security Department he learned JIBRIL had approached
two other individuals
One of the individuals approached was a Negro_who
is employed in the building_ According to: the unrecalled
source of this information
