FRANCISCO TAPIA, age 70, is a native 0f Bolivla
and 3 citizen of the United States _ He lived at 691 East
Howard Street, Pagadena, until approximately eight months ag0
when he exchanged his house with that of his son who needed
larger quarters He is retired and devotes himgelf to Bible
study and religious activity.
Mr TAPIA met and talked with SIRHAN SIRHAN several
times during the time he lived opposite the SIRHAN family.
He found them t0 be a' decent family and he particularly
liked the mother who seemed to be 8 very fine, hard working
woman who was very interested in the Welfare of her family_
On one occasion (he does not remember the tine) he was inter-
viewed by the Pagadena Police Department regarding MUNIR
SIRHAN who had become involved with the police on a narcotics
matter Mr TAPIA said he told the investigating officers
that he knew of no derogatory information concerning MUNIR
or any members of the S_RHAN family
With regard to SIRHAN STRHAN, Mr TAPIA said his
relationship was casual and pleasant _ He spoke to him only a8
SIRHAN would leave the house or return and SIRHAN geemed toally
absorbed in horses and becoming 3 jocley.
Mz TAPIA 8aid he had one serious conversation with
SIRHAN and t had to do with religion and ones obligation to
God _ At this time, SIRHAN claimed that he under
stood the difference between good and evil acts, but felt thatkhere
were large areas in between which Were 80 called indifferent
acts and he, SIRHAN, thought that many of these act8 were good
or bad depending on the end results_ For example, he 8aid SIRHAN
brought up the matter of wealth and poverty He said he felt
it wa8 not wrong to take from the rich (i.e_ steal) 1f one in-
tended to benefit the poor TAPLA countered this by saying"no}
it i8 good and necessary perhaps for the rich to give of their
surplus to the poor; but the poor were not entitled to steal
on this basis . SIRHAN said he did not feel this way .

College at Los Angeles , was contacted at his home, 438 North
Carmelo Avenue, Pasadena, California, regarding his kowledge
of SIRHAN SIRHAN MARCOVECCHIO is the gon of HERBERT and
LIVIA MARCOTECCHIO and 18 3 citizen 0f the United States by
naturalization_
MARCOVECCHIO said he met SIRHAN SIRHAN for the first
time in 1966 at a billfard parlor on Colorado Boulevard; Pasadena ,
California It was a chance meeting and they talked briefly_
Some time later the same year, MARCOVECCHIO met STRHAN SIRHAN
again, thig time in che company of a close friend of his named
IVAN GARCIA _ MARCOVECCHIO said IVAN knew SIRHAN quite well
but hinself_

an injury claim

and never talked with him in any depth Ke said SIRHAN liked
to talk about horses and his own ambitions to become a jockey _
EIRHAN did nd have a friend but he waz interested in
a lthough MARCOVECCHIO never saw him with a
girl SIRHAN aialn3t

know where SIRHAN had worked other than at the race track.
MARCOVECCHIO said he never met any other member of the SIRHAN
family and never Visited the SIRHAN home, although he knew
STRHAN lived on Howard Street; in Pasadena
MARCOVECCHIO 8aid he did not Irnow SIRHAN at Pasadena
City College but met him through IVAN GARCIA as mentioned
above MARCOVECCHIO said he attended Pasadena City College
in 1964
MARCOVECCHIO described STRHAN a8 being an unusual

stated that he would describe this individual as being of a

and firing a very small handgun He stated at one time
during the course of the time that they spent on the pistol
range he remembered another individual coming close to the
previously described individual and asking him if he would
move his car MIOCH stated that he did not notice what
kind of a car this individual had in the parking lot _ He
stated that this was the only conversation that he recalled
the previously described individual having during the time
that MIOCH S party was at the pistol range At this tine ,

When he observed a picture of SIRHAN SIRHAN on 8
news telecast shortly efter Senator 3OBERT F IENNEDY wa8 shot,
he thought SIRHAN resembled 8ome one he had seen, On the same
shortly after he observed the telecast 9 one of the
MARTIGANI brothers (he is unable to recall which brother )
phoned him to tell him that SIRHAN had been in their bar the
Golden Garter
STUART later observed a_ photograph of SIRHAN S IRHAN
in a newspaper At tha t time , which was after one 0f the
MARTICANI brothers called him, he believed that STRHAN SIRHAN
may have been the individual with vhom he shot pool at the
Golden Garter Bar After thinking about this matter and the
statement Yade by the MART IGANI brother that SIRHAIT SIRHAN
had been in the bar STUART says that the individual with whom
he
ghot pool regenbled
SIRHAN SIRHAN in appearance He said he
only saw that individual in the bar once At that time the
xan was alone and during the game of pool they had very
little convergation.
STUART stated he normally frequented the bar after
6:00 p .m, After observing
a photograph of ROBERT ANDRESE
he said he could not recall having
seen ANDRESE in the
Goiden
Garter Bar or at another location.
He said in his opinion this matter concerning the
pogsibility tha t SIRHAN SIRHAN had been in the Golden Garter

On June 18, 1968, KATHY VENNZ, 1145 South Chapel
Avenue, Alhambra, was interviewed and furnished the following
information:
VENNE advised that she i8 3 barmaid by profeeeion
and her laat employment was the Red Jax Bar , 39 West Main
Street , Alhambra . Further, that on a temporary basis for
one or two nights she worked at the Golden Garter Bar,
West Valley Boulevard, Alhambra
During the course of intervie1, photographs of
ROBERT RICHARD ANDRXSE Were exhibited to VENNZ . She stated,
that she had never seen this individual
Photographs were also exhibited t? VNNZ of JAMZS
LLOYD WILSON _ She stated that she likewise had never seen
this individual ana wa8 certain that she had not been intro-
duc ed to him at the Golden Garter Bar
Photographe of SIRHAN BISHARA SIRHAN Were exhibited

individual in person, but had seen hig photograph in the

family PHILLIPPS stated that the photograph of MUNIR SIRHAN
looked very much like the individual whom he had seen with
SIRHAN SIRHAN in his place of business prior to the a88aSnation
of ROBERT F KENNEDY _ PHILLIPPS stated that he could not
make a positive identification in thi8 matter, but the
photograph of MUNTR bears a strong resenblance to the individual
as he recalls him.

information:
Upon being shown a photograph of the SIRHAN family,
HOSTETTER advised that the photograph of SHARIF SIRHAN and
MUNIR SIRHAN both looked familiar to her as being possibly
the individual whom she had seen with SIRHAN SIRHAN in the
coffee HOSTETTER stated that the facial charac teristics
of MUNTR looked familiar, but she did not recall the individual
who was with SIRHAN a8 wearing glasses , For this reason;
she felt that SHARIF might possibly be the individual
HOSTETTER stated that she could not be pobitive regarding
these identifications , but these were her feelings as best
'she can recall.
