to Jordan because he felt living in the United States did not

wrote lettere to hie wife requeeting her to return to Jordan

refused to return to Jordan and told LILLENAS since she had been
married in the Greek Orthodox Church, no divorce would be granted

LILLENAS adviged her hugband had handled al1 the
reeponsibilities pertaining to the SIRHAN f 'amily and after
Mr LILLENAS died in 1959, she has had only one contact with the
SIRHAN family which wag in about 1963 when AYDA SIRHAN a
daughter, died_ At this time , LILLENAS saw only Mrs SIRHAN
and she visited for only fifteen ninutee LILLENAS moved from

Witness SANDRA SERRANO at the Ambassador Hotel went thru her actions
for reporting officers FBI agent BURRIS

She stated that she was sitting on the rear steps (which lead from the
s /w corner of EMBASSY ROOM ) getting s ome fresh air. Two men a woman
came up the stairs and the womian stated "excuse us please" Twenty to
twenty-five (20-25) minutes later she heard what sounded like six quick
back fires , and about 30 seconds later the same woman (Polka Dot Dress )
and the taller of the two men came down the stairway. The woman was run-
ning ahead of the man and said shot him, we shot hin" The witness
asked "you shot who" ? and the W Oman replied Senator Kennedy. The wftress
then went into the hallway of the Ambassador Room and saw a uniformed
security and asked "did they shoot Senator Kennedy" and he stated "your
drunk 1 The witness then confronted a group of people and asked ther
the smae question. They replied your crazy" The Witness then Went
into the Sunset Room , back thru the Ambassador Ante Roon into the hallway
to a phone booth, she then called her mother in. Lorreine, Ohio telling
her that Senator Kennedy was shot The phone used by the witness was
one of five booths She pointed out two booths cf which one was the
one she used Phone numbers 3860824 , 3869837 . Descriptions of suspects
sone as given by witness on original interview . There was no Guara' on
duty at the Embassy Room south rear door at tine of shooting or prior
to shooting _

ROBERT KENNEDY had been shot and when Mrs SERRANO said "what?"

but remarked he had been shot afer making his speech Mrs

night of June 4,, 1968, when he heard a news bulletin on his
car radio that Senator ROBERT KENNEDY had been shot He
stated that he arrived approximately 15 ninutes after the
shooting_ Upon entering the main entrance of the hotel, a
gir1 SANDY SERRANO ) camie running up to him very excited and
asked him to he lp her a9 she had to inform the proper authorities
of a confrontation she had just had with a couple in the ha 11 -
way of the hotel AMROSE advised that he told the girl that
he would help He quieted her and asked what had happened
She replied that she was wa lking down the hall of the hote1
when a man and woran approached from the opposite direction

SERRANO then inquired what the girl meant by this and the
girl stated "We just shot Senator KENNEDY" AMBROSE at this
tine aeked SERRANO ir the girl poseibly could have said "They
I just shot him SERRANO advised that ehe distinctly remenbers
that the girl used the pronoun we and mentioned the name
Senator KENNEDY
AMBROSE stated that SERRANO *old him that she could
identify both
persons and furnished him with the following

The girl was a white Caucasian, 22 to 23 years of

and wore a long sleeve white dress with black polka dots
and bib cbllar She pogsessed a very shapely figure The
man was about 23 yeare old, Mexican-American, had black hair,
and wore a sweater
AMBROSE added that he then took SERRANO int? the
building to the scene of the shooting where he turned her over
to the investigating officere as a witnees He further added
that SERRANO did have one girl friend accompanying her but could
not recall if she was present when SERRANO told him of her

DAVID KAL HAINES , 220 East Sierra Madre Avenue,
Apartment F, Sierra Madre, California, furnished the
following information:
He is nineteen years old and a student at Pasadena
City College, Pasadena, California Since the end of April
1968, he was a volunteer worker at the Pasadena Headquarters
0f the Youth for KENNEDY Club On Tuesdey June 4, 1968, he
was busy at the Youth for KENNEDY Headquarters in Pasadena
until approximately 9:00 p.m. At that time, he and a fellow
worker, RAY (1ast naie unknown) , decided to g0 to the
Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles to await the election
returns They went in RAY's automobile arriving at the
Ambassador at approximately 9:45 p.m. They joined the throng
that had gathered in the lower level ballroom where television
sets were placed to follow the returns
He met several of his fellow workers from Pasadena
and recalls meeting SANDRA SERRANO , who was in charge of
the Pasadena Youth for KENNEDY Club , sometime between 10:00 p.m.
and l1:00 p.m SERRANO was in a
group standing near a bar
set up in the foyer area at the entrance of the ballroom.
As she was obviously underage, he ordered Rer 8 screwdriver
drink from the bar and chatted with her for awhile To his
knowledge , that was the only drink she had that evening.
He rejoined the crowd in the ballroom and was at
that location when the news that Senator KENNEDY had been
shot was received _ He watched the proceedings on television
in the ballroom for some time and then started to move
through the crowd in the ballroom looking for his friends
He came across his fellow worker

RAY, who had taken him to
the Ambassador , who was in a complete state of collapse at
the news and was lying on the floor He and a girl, name
unknown , who had met RAY at the ballropn , gave assistance to
RAY and he remained with them until RAY was sufficiently
recovered, that he could leave RAY in the girl 's care He
then lent assistance to an unidentified elderly Lady who asked

estimates that this was at least one hour after he first heard

which he cannot now recall but as he was also upset and
trying to get back in the ballroom to where he had left RAY
9 he attached no significance to what SERRANO had said He
believed it only related to the fact that Senator KENNEDY had
been shot He then returned to the ballrooi , searched for his
friends

and had no further contact or conversation with
SERRANO
While he was at the Ambassador Hotel, both prior to
and after the shooting , he did not see anyone resembling
the photographs or general description of suspect

SIRHAN nor could he recall seeing any women in a white dress
with black polka dots
He has known SANDRA SERRANO since April 1968 _ and
she was in charge of the Pasadena Office of the Youth for
KENNEDY Club He considers her to be a reliable

headed and a responsible person
He 18 entering the Marine Corps in mid ~July 1968
and prior to that time Will spend two weels vacationing in
Texas where he can be reached in care of Mr BOB PHILLIPS_

intends to return to Yale on approximately September 15,
Upon arriving hone from Yele, he volunteered his
services to the Youth for KENNEDY Club in Pasadena and
worked there on Monday June 3, 1968, until 9:00 p. m. and on
Tuesday , June 4, 1968, the of the California primary.
On June 4 , 1968 _

p.m. , he and some
of his fellow-workers decided to g0 to the Ambassador Hotel
in Los Angeles to await the election returns He went to
the Ambassador with SANDY SERRANO , IRENE CHAVEZ , GEORGE
FREDERICKS and a MIKE (last name unknown ) in FREDERICKS 1
auto
arrived at the Ambassador Hotel at
epproximately 9:00 p. m. and joined the crowd which had
gathered in the ballroom on the lower level of the hotel to
watch the election returns on television sets which had been
set up there The group split up and went their separate
ways after agreeing to together later on in the evening
for the ride home
ABBOTT stated that he spent most of the evening in
the ballroom with DINAH CHURCHTLL , 945 Hilgard Avenue

gathering- He recalls seeing SANDRA SERRANO at least once,
in the crowd, prior to the news of the shooting.

talking incoherently He took her intj his arms and attempted
to comfort her He cannot recall anything in particular that
SERRANO said , at that time but his impression was that it
simply dealt with the horrible fact that Senator KENNEDY had
been shot
As his companion DINAH CHURCHILL , was
also vibibly
upset and standing alone down the corridor

hinself and took DINAH out of the hotel
He wa s thereafter in and out of the hotel
several times searching for SANDRA and IRENE CHAVEZ in order
to teke them home but saw neither one He assumed they had
obtained other rides and left the hotel at a pproximately
2:30 a m to return to Pasadena
During the period he was at the Ambassador Hotel,
both prior to and after the shooting, he did not see anyone
resembling the photograph or description of suspect SIRHAN
SIRHAN nor could he recall seeing any wonen in a white dress
with black pollca dots

at the Ambassador Hotel just prior to his viewing aeven white
dresses with black polka dots in an effort to out a dress
similar to the one worn by the woman
he previously described
as being in the kitchen area of the Embassy Room, Ambassador
Hotel, just before Sena tor KENNEDY was shot
DE PIERRO recalled talking to SANDRA SERRANO about
a woman wearing a white dress with black polka dots While they
were
sitting together waiting to be interviewed by the police
after the shooting_ Tney did not deecribe the dress to ea ch
other, ercept to mention the fact that it wa: a white dress with
black polka dots
DE PIERRO said no details about the person wearing
this dress were discussed since a
police officer saw' them
talking ana warned them not to discuss the case
