he stayed a t the Villa Motel At about 9 :00 P.M _ or
10:00 P.M _ June 4, 1968 he went to the Ambassador Hotel
for Senator ROBERT' F KENNEDY 's speech at the Embassy Room
of the hotel COTTER advised he was not permitted to enter
the Embassy Room

So he went to a roomn one floor under
abovesnaned room and watched the speech Onl 2 television set .
He recalled the program went off the television set and then
it cane back on and he saw people trying to go everywhere
and there was mass confusion He stated someone yelled' for
a doctor and it sounded like 2 nunber of people had been
shot He advised he did not know Senator KENNEDY bad been
shot until they announced it 0n television
COTTER stated he walked around the hotel for a
while looking for some of his friends

their car and returned to their motel at about 2:30 A _

COTTER advised at no time did he have any indication
of any conspiracy in the Ambassador Hotel on the night of the
Shooting

Indlana He was with a group of students from St Meinrad
who accompanied Senator ROBERT KENNEDY to Portland Oregon
and to Los Angeles Ca lifornia
He had left the Embassy Room of the Ambassadore Hotel
in Los Angeles just prior to the time Senator KENNEDY was shot
He did not observe the shooting and at no time did he observe
SIRHAN SIRHAN He has no knowledge of any conspiracy upon the
life of Senator KENNEDY _

St. Meinrad Seminary when the KENNEDY Campaign Organizer
requested assistance in Oregon and California About 40
of their students

to assist in this cempaign. Their duties consisted
essentiaily of door-to-door canvessing to solicit votes for
ROBERT F_ KENNEDY _ FUSSELL mentioned that Senator KENNEDY
for the air travel to and from the west coast, and
more or less for their Own roo and board while
in Oregon and California.
At the time of the shootirg, FUSSELL stated that
he #as in the lower ballroon beneath the kmbassy ballroom

At the time of the assault on Senator KENNEDY

the assault until he got downstairs to the room , where their
group were to meet with Senator KENNEDY _ He then heard of the
assault froin the news media

knowledge of any conspiracy upon the

He stated the person he knew who had actua
been in the Embassy Rocm prior to the assault wa s LARRY DAKER ,

St Meinrad College to Dayton University , Dayton, Ohjo .
He had not seen DAKER subsequent to the tragedy
and had no information concerning DAKER S exact location

said were KENNTEDY aides

He stated he believed the nlane of one of these
men was GARY (phonetic) and he believed GARY was the one
who stated he believed he could have saved the life of
Senator KENWNEDY if he had juped between the Senator and
the assailant who had a gun .
He stated he believed the other individual who
stated he was a KENTEDY aide had the charge number and
charged for food and drinks for other individuals in the
room, So that these charges mere
placed
on the KENNEDY bill

He recalled that both of these individuals were
white males, however, he could not specifically describe
them further.

the following information:
He was one of a group of students frm Southern
Illinois University: Carbondale,. Illinois, who .worked on
Senator ROBERT KENNEDY' s Presidential campaign _ He advised
that he was in the State of California at the tine of the
KENNEDY assassination for the purpose of assisting in his
campaign in that state.
DAVIS advised that while in Los Angeles he was
staying at a small motel in the Los Angeles area , the nane
of which he could not re ember, but. was working out of the
KENNEDY Headquarters located at Wilshire Blvd
He stated: that on the evening Senator' KENNEDY
was
assassinated, he wa s at the Ambassador Hotel with KATHY CWIK.
He stated that he and CWIK observed the KENNEDY victory speech
and then left the apartment before the Senator was shot
DAVIS said that the first inclination he had concerning the
fact that something was wrong occurred when he and KATHY CWIK
off one of the elevators and observed the confusion which
was present in the hotel
DAVIS stated that he did not recall seeing either
Senator KENNEDY or SIRHAN B SIRHAN after the shooting, but
stated that he thinks he remembers observing three short ,
dark, possibly Puerto Rican, individuals being leCl away. by
the Los Angeles Police Department
DAVIS advised that he could offer no further
information concerning the assassination

Mr MOORIEAD stated that he does not know how his

Hotel in Los Angeles at the time of the KENNEDY shooting_ He
stated that he was not registered at the Ambassador Hotel
during the time of the California Primary andhe was not present
at the Ambassador Hotel when the Senator was shot
Mr MOORHEAD stated that he had worked a t the KENNEDY
headquarters in Los Angeles and e11 of the persons who had
worked at the headquarters were invited to attend the celebre -
tion scheduled for the Ambassador Hotel With Senator KENNEDY
Mr MOORHEAD stated that he did not attend thc
celebration and was unable to furnish any information con-
cerning the shooting of Senator KENNEDY_

essasination she had gone to Los Angeles from Goleta with a

0f thirty to forty KENNEDY student supporters and
workers from the University of: California at Santa Barbara
5 which she currently attends _ Tne UCSB group took a suite in
the Ambassador Hotel for the night because they did not went
to drive back to Goleta the seme night. At the time 0i the
shooting Mis3 ELLIOTT w8s in the UCSB suite watching the
victory celebration 0i2 television_ She had no firsthand infor-
mation concerning the incident and did not leave the suite
until thirty minutes later when she accompanied Miss KAREN
WEISSMAN
5 8 UCSB student, to tne lobby 80 that WEISSMAN could
telephone her parents in Van Nuys _ She and WELSSMAN then drove
to the TEISSMAN residence at 5926 Colbath, Ven Nuys , where
they spent the rest of the night WEISSMAN would have no
firsthand information about the shooting because she

was in the suite at the time; eccording to Miss EULIOTT.
Another member of the UCSB group was in the
Amba,ssador banquet room at the time of the shooting, was
interviewed the television media shortly after the shooting,
and woula have more firsthand information regerding it,
accordling to Miss ELLIOTT Tnis person was Miss VALZRIE
SCHULTE , home eddress 466 South Clark, Beverly Hills She is
believed to be re-registered &t UCSB this quarter and may be
living on Del Playe Roe.d, Goleta Miss ELLIOTT believed
that SCHULTE had already been interviewed the FBI, howiever.
Miss ELLIOTT could not remember the nunber of the suite
rented at the Ambassadox, but stated that one ROGER ARBUCKLE of
the UCSB YENNEDY group, had rented the suite_ Neither ne nor
any other member of the UCSB group would have any firsthand
inforiation of the shooting, according to Miss ELLIOTT .

nane until 1958 when Mr KHAN started to use the nane of
KHAN , a change he made legal in 1959_ This son is als0
known a3 PHILLIPPE KHAN and BOB KHAN.
AMTER KHOSROW GOODA RZIAN is now krnown a5 MIKE
KHAN and J . C KHAN _
SALA POUR GOODA RZIAN also know 38 'Sahpour Khan,
now age 12 years , wa$ born in the United States_
Mr KHAN said he had retained the name of GOODA RZIAN
in the INS records 35 property owned hin in Teheran,

property in Teneran Which he fornerly rented t0 the {nited
states state Department was in the name of SAHPOUR GOODARZIAN,
and he had been . challenged on this by the Internal Revenue

agencies of the U_ S Government and was under deportation
proceedings at present_ While he could leave the United
states, he did not plan to and had _ applied for 2 stay of the

only himself but fo his family_ To leave now might cast

of KHAIBAR KHAN are definitely not the individuals whoi he
believes to be SIRHAN. He said their features are somewhat

Twenty-four names appearea on the volunteer worker cards sub~
mitted by Khaibar Khan at Kennedy Headquarters_ The names were
acquired by Khan through personal and telephonic interviews .
Khan also used names of members of his familya Khan did not
request identification or addresses from the volunteers ne
interviewed. He used his forer wife' 9 (Talat Khan) residential
address , 10455k Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles on all the
cards he subiitted. 'These names were checked through the
telephone directory with negative results -
Khan also used the names of members of an organization known
as the United Patrons for Justice 0f which he is the chair-
man , Khan stated that the organization is comprised of a group

striving for 3 better Iran These men were allegedly in
Iran at the cime the cards Were submitted, but were to be
in the U.8. during the Novembex electione He volunteered the

or black nationalist activity _

PAPPAN stated prior to the assassination of
Senator ROBERT KENNEDY sone timc last summer , he recilled an
individual who came into the shop With another man believed
to be a chauffeur, an d indicated he had a violent dislike_
for Senator ROBERT KENNEDY end Iould give a large sum of
money to have KENNEDY killed_
PAPPAN advised this man was
driving a light green
Lincoln Continental, which he parked in front of the barber
and made comments about his "1 Lincolns"
PAPPAN: stated the other barber had apparently
cut this man ' s hair before a5 after he had left, the barber
identified hin as "BIG RYAN , and 'stated he was
reportedly a
wcalthy rancher from Ardmore, Oklahoma,_ or
vicinity, and owne d nost o f the land where the Arbuckle
Mountains are located_

It has been deternined that BoY" RYAN is
identical to IRL RHYNES
RHYNES was interviewed at his ranch , East Jesse,
M OkLahoma RHYNES was given a copy of Rights form, a8
well 2s a waiver of rights form and was explained certain
rights as outlined When asked to waive his rights and
execute the form by affixing the signature thereto, he stated
he would not sign the form at 'this time, based upon the advice
of his attorney but that he would answer any questions that
may be asked RHYNES stated further he understood all his rights
as outlined on the form and had nothing to hide
RHYNES was explained the basic organization and aims
of the Minutemen organization how obtain funds and
merbers and asked whether he had ever donated funds to an
organization by that name or whether he had ever been a member
of that or ganization. In answer to both questions RHYNES
stated emphatically he had never been approached by them
for any reason whatsoever and that he was not now or had he
ever been a member of the Minutemen organization In
aadition, RHYNES stated he knows he 1s 'considered a radical
in his community and in the business world; not in his
politics but in the management of his business affairs , but
that the only radicalisr that he knows is "being radical for
It his country and for his farm RHYNES stated further that
based on the original airs of the Minutemen organization;
that had they approached him during the early period of their
development

he may have furnished them some funds ; however
now , because of the stated aims of their leader , ROBERT DE PUGH ,
and other leaders , he would not give them a dime
RHYNES was then made aware of the aims and objectives
as well as the people who are backing the "Patriotic Party"
RHYNES stated emphatically again that he had never been approached

RHYNES was appreciative of being made aware of the aims of
this party and the nemes of some of the members backing
this party and stated that Since their aims were not the
same as his

affiliated with them .

statutes concerning the possession of illegal automatic
weapons and other machine guns RHYNES stated he_ had never
purchased machine guns or other automatic weapons but that
he hed many weepons in his possession Most of these
weapons were shotguns and 228' utilized by his grandson and
as well as friends who visit the ranch

RHYNES took the interviewing agents
on a tour of the: houge, displaying his vast collection of
shotguns end shotgun ammunition utilized. by hunting parties
on his ranch When asked specifically if he Owned any Ml6
automatic rifles RHYNES stated he-did not own any Ml6- rifles
but that he did have some AR 15 S and' would be_happy to dis-
play them to the interviemving agents _ These AR 15 rifles
were. then produced from under the bed in his bedroom_

on both weapons had positions for safe 'and fire, but no
positions for automatic firing_ Both weapons were checked
to see 1f they had been internally tampered with S0 they could
be fired automatically and they were' both found to be set
up as delivered from the factory RHYNES stated he possesses
these weapons for protection of his household only and that
any stories that might have accrued about him were probably
as a result of his boasting at various times that he had sore
automatic weapons and that he would shoot people who trespassed
onto his property_ He knew this to be a
falsehood, but he
