A usually reliable source whose previous reporting has been accurate revealed to our Beirut representative that on 22 June 1968 Salmi (SAZI), publisher of Hawatli, a newspaper in Lebanon, Arab Ameri (JAM), Press Com- selor and Information Officer of the United Arab Republic (JAMI), Embassy in Lebanon, he was obtaining good results in rising funds for the defense further said he had met with SIRIH, UABY, SAZI, and Wald Wald ALDI to study and organizate SIRIAH's defense. They had decided to meet with SIRIIN's father and send some people from our place to SHIRAH's brother give it to proper importance in the international plane. They have also dedicted to its Arab countries collecting money. LAZI said he has had received provides to 10,000 Lebanese pounds from the collected. They also and 300,000 Lebanon pounds in Lebanon alone. (Note: Approximately three Lebanese pounds equal one. U.S. Dollar). LAZI indicated these activities were not related to those of the Federation of Arab Lawyers. 2.
